Newborn Sessions
PORTFOLIO BUILDING
As a parent, our main purpose is to provide a safe & loving environment for our children. My goal as a newborn photographer is to bring you beautiful images of your baby, using very safe and simple posing. Your baby needs to look & feel safe while I place them in natural positions that they are comfortable in. I hope to bring your family timeless images you will treasure forever!
What are "portfolio building" sessions?
These sessions are designed to allow me to practice in a specialized area in order to collect images to add to my portfolio.
It's a unique opportunity! Through portfolio building sessions, I gain more experience while providing you with a variety of shots of your new baby!
What to Expect:
- Newborn sessions should take place within the first 6-21 days of life (exceptions can be made, just contact me!)
- Please allow up to 3 hours in the studio. This will grant us ample time for diaper changes, feedings, soothing the baby, as well as any outfit/prop/backdrop changes we may make.
- We will attempt a variety of shots: lying on back, side, tummy, swaddled, with mom, and (if time permits) a posed shot of baby in basket.
- I can not, at this time, offer family shots and or sibling poses. Once I become more comfortable with newborn sessions and develop a flow I will be able to include those precious shots with older siblings.
- Every baby is different. Some will sleep, others may not. Some want to tuck in their legs, some stretch. We will go with the flow of what baby wants/needs.
